Back in the early 90's (the earliest date stamp I can find is '93) Chaz Elliott (of Games Workshop' fame) sculpted a number of small scale miniatures for the Discworld series. I've never found a full listing and the numbering used I have no idea how I came by it! I'm assuming I found it in various gaming magazines - if you know please comment below! I started populating the Lost Minis WIKI with (poor) images back in 2010. I was using a digital camera but even though it had a macro function I really didn't know how to use it. Fortunately modern hones have pretty much saved the days for us hobbyists. The figures were originally produced in standard pewter however then as polished pieces for the giftware market. The first I picked up I vaguely remember as being sold loose (from one of the lovely little shops in the old Corn Exchange in Manchester, much missed following that IRA bomb). Later they came bagged and then I believe in small blisters.
Well, now I've caught your attention......this is a blog about gaming miniatures, both old and new school but with a leaning towards old school. I've been in the hobby since the 70s and seem to show no sign of stopping in the foreseeable future.....

Grenadier Models - Amulets of Magic
Not a lot known about this unfortunately. I picked these up about 10 years ago I think. Grenadier's Amulets of Magic was produced in conjunction with "Tarheel Prods." I can't find any more information about them and have never seen any others - help!
"Symbols and sacred signs from Mythology, Ancient Civilizations, and Fantasy Legend. Produced in high quality Pewter, these amulets can be used for collecting, trading and gaming. Some pieces in each collection will be produced in limited editions and will be replaced by other designs. As each rare amulet is discontinued, we will publish it's identification and edition quantity. A secret contest has started with this collection. What will it be? What will you need to deduce the answer and win a fabulous prize? We will soon make clues known to you. Do you have all the coins needed to solve the puzzle?"
