Well, day 1 of BOYL was wonderful......I started by visiting Pete at The Mouldmaker to pick up some Tenoch ..... yesterday I'd Google mapped him from the hotel and Foundry and was surprised to see he was only 15 minutes away.....this morning that changed to over an hour...I'd obviously been looking at the results for visiting Newark hence ended up at Foundry just after 12....immediately bumped into Diane Ansell who made me feel at home. Doesn't seem like a year since the last one! Spent most of the day talking to Bryan, Maria and Marcus Ansell, Tony Yates and Mark Stevenson )who has started his epic journey on a complete history of Asgard Miniatures....more of that in another post). Met up with sculptor extraordinaire Drew Williams (top bloke) who showed his latest troll greens (pic below) and loads of other people who shall me named tomorrow (quick write up before curry and beer). Tony Ackland unfortunately couldn't be here this weekend but will be missed, the stories he came out with last year still have me laughing...
On to the pics.......
The Mouldmaker's residence......great chatting to Pete as always.
Bryan and Mark discussing the Asgard project....
A bunch that Bryan brought out including old unreleased adventurers converted to Sci Fi for early Rogue Trader playtesting......
Bryan, Mark and Drew....
Drew on his own...
Drew's troll greens....
Kev Adam's dragon made up and painted by Paul Sanderson of 'Here Be Goblins'...
A small selection of Mark's Asgard minis....I still need that damned giant!
Below are some originals and some conversions (some cast, some just conversions) for playtesting Rogue Trader....the original pre-cursor to Warhammer 40K......
Steve Beale of' ''Somewhere The Tea's Getting Cold' blog Shrine of Rigg' temple for tomorrow's game.....more detail tomorrow and amended as I'd put it originally as Jamie Loft's creation....oops....
My pal Tony Yates...
Couple of pics of a skeleton we couldn't identify. Pretty certain I've seen it but didn't bring my close up specs.......certainly Citadel but which range??
Thanks as always to the Ansell family for putting up with us. More tomorrow, this was just the quiet Friday......

Some Tekumel Project Hlutrgu made it into a pic! Yay! :-)
Is the shrine not by Steve Beale of somewhere the tea is getting cold?
Is it Steve's. My bad, just had a chat with him and will update the post later.
Nice to see some figures there from Spacefarers.... I really enjoyed those rules. Have a good weekend.
The smelly is from a FT range dolly iirc
Cheers for the mention and no worries about the mix up! Great to have a chat and always good to see what else was going on since I always seem to get engrossed in whatever game I'm running/playing and miss loads of stuff!
