Wargames Foundry were started by Bryan Ansell's dad, Cliff, back on August 18th in 1984. Somewhere I have a lot of Wargames Illustrated ads...I will find them and post them once I do. Anyway, to nab the wording off Foundry's site the miniature comes with four models of model soldiers to reflect the job Cliff has done over his working life; coal mining, the navy, teaching maths and making model soldiers. It is a lovely piece sculpted, I believe, by Kev Adams. Quite a large piece; 40mm from head to toe. I picked up one of the Egyptian Adventure sets I needed and Cliff came as a freebie along with a sample Darkest Africa explorer. Free lead is good and should always be encouraged by more orders........anyway, on to the pics.........
The only pic I have of Cliff from a 1979 Military Modelling magazine.

A couple of shots to show the end detail.....
Drop over to Wargames Foundry. They have a new web designer and are updating quite regularly. The size of the ranges is incredible and every time I go there they seem to have discovered another range......
