Asgard Miniatures robot out of the blue...so to speak...

I picked up a box of assorted offcuts / throwaway bits a couple of years ago....I couldn't make much out from the auction pic but went for it anyway. When it arrived it was a joyous occasion, as all those receiving old lead will be aware of......there was a mix of Hinchliffe siege tower cladding, Archive robot scraps and loads of bits I had yet to id. The other day I was cleaning one of the robots off and noticed 'X2' under the base.......the penny dropped and I checked the Lost Minis WIKI........Asgard Science Fiction ....lo and behold I now give you X2 Three-Arm Robot......yet to be cleaned up......

Not 100% certain but pretty darned sure that this is the arm sprue for it...

as to the robot, it seems to be much too solidly built to be a McEwan, which were mostly very skinny indeed Star wars 20mm knockoffs, all the McEwan stuff was tiny. Stan Pochron did some very nice dragons for us sculpting everything in plasticine, he did the cyborg with the big head. He also did the choas warrior with the single horned helmet, Tony did foot and mounted versions of a death dealer type Chaos warrior in Milliput at about the same time, so one of them is probably responsible for making the first chaos warrior model. The casting you have looks to been soldered up, and I was the only person building up models from solder back then, thats how I did all the dwarfs and the medievals and the greeks and such. However I don't have even the slightest memory of having made any such robot. Perhaps its smaller than it looks in the photo.
Stan and I made candles together and sold them in hippy shops.
