Kev Adams (Goblinmaster) attacked in his own home...updated 23rd April 2013

You might have already heard the news about Kev. Awful things to happen to anyone. I'm lucky enough to know Kev quite well and a more decent sort of bloke you will not meet. He is now out of hospital and doing well however this sort of incident stays with you, long after the physical aspects have healed and gone. A lot of people in the hobby have got together in support and Dags and Geronimo have set up a Facebook page 'Goblin Aid' to help raise funds to help - the b*stards took his computer among other bits. If you can please support it, I have been following Kev's sculpting for as long as I can remember. Check out the 'Kev Adams Challenge' for a good history of his sculpting......

And if you're wondering what the collection is all about this is it.....Kev after being allowed home following the attack.

Latest news, direct from Kev himself;

"Thanks, I really appreciate what you and everyone else is doing to help me, I feel bad as I've not communicated on Facebook but I've never wanted to join and the best way for me to get over what happened is to get my head into something creative so I'm compiling lots of music as its a hobby and great fun as i love mixing and doing interesting things with synths and ambient sounds.
It means I will be locked at desk when i get back to work as there’s lots of new sounds to keep me interested .I'm hoping to give it a bash next week as my eye is improving .I was on a roll and making my first female models and am itching to get back .I'm lucky I didn’t lose my sight in right eye, socket was that badly smashed that my eye was lower than it should be and the operation was very complex they tell me .Still got a broken jaw and nose is broken in three places and i was shown x-rays yesterday of how my face was all caved in and why they used metal plates to rebuild cheekbones .I hope they catch these idiots before they kill somebody .I'm not happy because they got the wrong house as its my neighbour who they were trying to rob but we both have gravel drives. There’s been a spate of similar robberies and a girl was mugged the other night outside the local shop by three hooded thugs who sound like they could be the same lot. I'm on the mend and will bounce back, there’s a new picture attached and I don’t mind if you post it so people can see I'm ok. I'm healing very well due to the fact that I drink lots of wheatgrass and juice vegetables and eat a lot of fresh fruit, I'm totally into a healthy raw vegan diet these days so I will soon recover."

At The Mountains of (Lead) Madness.....

Insanity rules throughout Lovecraftian (and other) tales of the Cthulhu mythos so I thought I would let you enter my own fevered mind......in the shape of the many WIPs on my workplace and the cluttered hobby areas I inhabit.....

These 2 pics are of a late 70s vignette entitled something along the lines of 'Incident at Simga 9' or similar......I think it's a Tony Ackland sculpt but can't find a reference (although I have seen it possibly in an old Military Modelling)

A Sanderson Wizard with cowering wench I picked up at the same time...

 I also traded some minis for these Tony Yates sculpts....yet to identify the range, they all have FA underneath base followed by digits. I'm guessing an old company called Plastiform but more research is needed....

Another complete unknown picked up in the same trade......

Thanks to Marcus Ansell at Wargames Foundry I am the proud owner of these Citadel 'Ferocious Fishmen' all converted way back when for playtesting the original Warhammer 40K, then affectionately known as 'Rogue Trader'

These are my original fantasy versions bought when they were first released (although back row, left, appeared at some point in the last few years) Citadel FF65 Ferocious Man-Fish...check out the Collecting Citadel Miniatures WIKI here.

Comparison shots for those interested.....

A Westwind Productions evil Nazi doctor and his genetic playthings (GDOOM03 Clone Tanks)......lots of fun!
