I have been trying to identify this dwarf figure for some time and came across an old 1978 'Battle for Wargamers' magazine with a review for Asgard Miniatures and McEwan Miniatures....now it certainly doesn't appear to be McEwan although the sculpting style is not too similar to the others in the Asgard FD line........do you know if this is FD8 Dwarf in Plate Armour?
Slightly larger pic of the relevant part.............
Base markings which do not appear on others in the FD range......
Comparison with FD6 Dwarf Halberdier....
As always email me on enquiries@deartonyblair.co.uk

aha! it seems to me that the running gear on the cyborg is the same as on the 3 armed robot. The cyborg was definitely plasticine. I probably soldered up the robotty bits to a modified cyborg casting and McEwan probably sold them for us in america.
Tony Ackland did that skinny armoured dwarf. I did the main range of chunky dwarfs. I sculpted them in wax, then lost waxed them into brass. I think I still have a set
Thanks Bryan - if you can find the brass masters a pic would be much appreciated!
